Bravo! Concerts Northwest is one of the most musically diverse arts organizations in our region. Bravo! is a 501c3 nonprofit arts organization based in southwest Washington, but our scope is local, regional, and international.
Our focus is on music performance, presentation, and education. Programs currently include: our Bravo! Vancouver Concert Series and Concerts At The Madeleine Old Church Series; the award-winning Vancouver Wine & Jazz Festival; Music Education projects such as Masterclasses and Workshops for students, our Community Jazz Stage and Concerts For Kids program; and Regional Arts Partnerships and International Arts Partnerships – such as the Dubrovnik Jazz Festival; Recordings, Music Tours, and more. Our Mission Statement is: “Bravo! Concerts Northwest is a music organization committed to the Performance, Presentation, Appreciation and Advancement of the Arts in our Community.”
Bravo! was founded and is led by Music Director & Conductor Maria Manzo, and Artistic Director Michael Kissinger. Over the past 30 years, Bravo! has presented more than 200 concerts and educational programs to more than 60,000 people ranging from students to adults. We present sacred, classical, jazz, pop, contemporary, American and chamber music concerts on our concert series. The concert series features nationally recognized soloists who perform in our Elysium Quartet, the Bravo! Chamber Choir, Northwest Chamber Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble; and GRAMMY-winning guest artists such as Diane Schuur, and others like Dan Brubeck, Grace Kelly, and Stanley Jordan.
The Bravo! Chorale is an auditioned choir of singers who have a passion for singing great music. Singers ranges in experience from accomplished amateurs to trained professionals. The Chorale has performed most of the major choral music of the 19th and 20th centuries, including Johannes Brahms’ German Requiem, J.S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, the Requiems of Mozart, Gabriel Fauré, Maurice Duruflé, John Rutter and Giuseppe Verdi; Joseph Haydn’s Te Deum and Creation; Rachmaninoff’s Solemn Vespers; Beethoven’s Christ on the Mount of Olives, and 9th Symphony; Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah and St. Paul Oratorio, and others. The Chorale has also performed Broadway, American folk, Spirituals, Pop, Contemporary, and Jazz – such as Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concert, Dave Brubeck’s To Hope: A Celebration and the premiere of Michael Kissinger’s Sacred Cantata and Jazz Requiem. The Chorale has toured with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra in Croatia and Pacific Northwest, and with the Duke Ellington School of the Arts Jazz Orchestra in Washington D.C. and Lincoln Center in New York City.

The Chorale has released two CD’s: Hear My Prayer: The American Spiritual – a collection of classic and new Spirituals by American composers; and a live recording of George Frideric Handel’s Messiah – An Oratorio.
Collaborative Partners for music projects have included: Oregon Bravo Youth Orchestra, Pacific Youth Choir, Portland Opera, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, jazz singer Diane Schuur, saxophonist Grace Kelly, pop singer Melissa Manchester, The Brubeck Brothers Quartet, Broadway baritone Douglas Webster, 56th US Army Band, guitar virtuoso Stanley Jordan, Seattle Jazz Singers, Sno-King Chorale, Duke Ellington School of the Arts Jazz Orchestra, Washington State Ballet, Washington State School for the Blind, Oregon String Quartet, Tears of Joy Puppet Theatre, Camas and Battle Ground High Schools, Vancouver School of Arts & Academics, and others.

The Northwest Chamber Orchestra is comprised of professional freelance musicians – many of whom perform with Portland Opera, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Oregon Symphony, Eugene Symphony, Tacoma Symphony, and others. Our Guest Artists are nationally recognized classical and jazz musicians who have performed with orchestras, musical theatre companies, and ensembles throughout the USA and Europe.

Since 1998, Bravo! has produced the Vancouver Wine & Jazz Festival. The Festival features internationally acclaimed GRAMMY-winning jazz, blues and pop artists, Northwest wines, fine artists, exhibitors, and local restaurants. The Festival (www.vancouverwinejazz.com) is the #1 Cultural Tourism event in Southwest Washington and is “...the largest festival of its kind in the Northwest...” (ABC TV KATU 2, Portland, OR).
An estimated 150,000 people have attended the Jazz Festival since its founding in 1998, with visitors from 30 U.S. States, and Canada.

The Festival has presented internationally-acclaimed artists including: Al Jarreau, Allen Toussaint, Arturo Sandoval, Bela Fleck, Blind Boys of Alabama, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Bo Diddley, Booker T.
